    • Abstract

    Many physics facilities, including CERN, are developing tools for hadron therapy of tumors. PROSCAN project is aiming for an improved facility at PSI, which includes a dedicated cyclotron, beam lines to two therapy gantries and to a new OPTIS (eye tumor treatment). The principles of the spot scan technique which was developed at PSI will be presented in detail.
