[Neutrals Reconstruction and ID]

The group aims to develop, optimize and evaluate the reconstruction and selection of neutral objects (pi0, eta, Kshort), for use as input to the reconstruction of various hadronic states (omega, K*, D, D*, Ds). The group works towards the coherent integration of : |
calorimeter measurements, as provided by the EMC software
classification of calorimeter objects, as provided by Neutral PID
composition and fitting tools, available in the Composition software in view of the needs of the various analyses involved.

The group should deliver reconstruction and selection methods with : |
variable and well known efficiency/purity
the best achievable resolution for any particular case
documentation covering the performance evaluation of methods developed
detailed cross-checks between real data and simulation
|
|
The group will identify regions where new software or imrovements of the existing code may be needed and will contribute to such development, in coordination with the appropriate tools or detector groups. |
